The Beechwood Independent Schools is seeking applicants for the position of High School Principal (grades 7-12). A qualified candidate must be appropriately certified by the Kentucky Department of Education and meet all other state criteria for this position.
A successful candidate will be an instructional leader with exceptional skills in leadership, supervision, and administration that promote highly effective educational programming and services for all students. In cooperation with the Superintendent, the Principal will establish and maintain an innovative learning environment in the school, implementing all Board of Education policies and administrative procedures. Additionally, consistent supervision and evaluation of personnel will be effectively completed within all required timelines; recommending to the Superintendent continued employment or termination of staff. The Principal will continue in professional growth as a learner through review of current materials, participation in professional learning, and collaboration with peers and colleagues. An effective administrative function is expected; inclusive of conducting staff meetings as necessary, insuring proper functional of the school, and consistently informing faculty and staff of changes in policy, procedures, and programming. The Principal will be responsible for and complete all other relevant duties as assigned.
